I got this gorgeous Oscar de la Renta floral silk from Mood Fabrics in NYC back in May. I’ve been making this dress in my head all summer, so it came together pretty quickly when I finally sat down at my sewing machine. I created my own pattern using my dress form and fitted it as I went. I also wanted to try pleating fabric, so created a handmade template to use for the bodice of the dress.
