I got the idea for this butterfly (plus one moth!) piece and pulled out oil paints. It’s coming together surprisingly quickly - I got all the winged beasts more than roughed in and was ready to lay down a background layer today.✨ 

 

From painting to Photoshop to pattern to fabric 🦋 I love making the stuff in my head come to life in the real world.✨

 

The butterfly dress is complete 🦋 Ok so it’s actually a skirt and top, but I like the combined look. 

I created the butterfly pattern from a painting I did and had it printed on fabric. I’ve had a few sewing challenges along the way that evolved the outfit, but I’m happy with how it turned out. 

I created this look to wear to see Ed Sheeran in concert. I’ve wanted to go to one of his shows ever since I found out he primarily performs as a one man band. I’m most fascinated by his process and can’t wait to experience it in person. 

Thanks for being here, friends. Every project is different and this one is almost too boring in a way haha but like it’s pretty cool I made something I’m excited to wear in the real world. Okie ttyl.💛

I created the butterfly pattern from a painting I did and had it printed on fabric. I designed the dress and sewed it up to wear to see @teddysphotos perform in DC.
